To enhance further growth within the Support Unit Finance & Control we are currently looking for a Business Controller based in Belgium.
In this role you’ll be a member of the Business Control team for the Group, working in close collaboration with colleagues in The Netherlands and Belgium, members of the Leadership Team, Unit Leaders, the Group Finance Manager and Finance Managers in the 3 countries
Internally this Support unit is not called Business Control but Business Economics to indicate that the role is wider than Finance & Control alone. Business Economics implies company wide reporting / analysis regarding all aspects including FTE
The members of the Business Economics team report directly to the CFO (based in The Netherlands);
Systems in use: Unit4 Agresso, Force.Com (Connexys / Sales Force), Microsoft Power BI
The responsibilities of Business Economics as a unit:
-Providing high quality / action based management information (both financial and non-financial) to the Board:
-FTE (growth / composition);
-Margins (growth / composition);
-Projects (progress, benefits expected and realized)
-Insights platform (uniform MS Power BI dashboard for assessing the financial / HR performance of the Business Units);
-Make Management Information more attractive (digital access, graphics, dashboards etc.);
-Move from Management Information to Business Intelligence / Business Analytics;
-Ad-hoc reporting and analysis that add value to the business (delivering new insights);
-Manage the Planning & Control cycle (Monthly reporting, Budget, Forecast, Salary increases / Variable pay process) and move to quarterly Rolling Forecast;
-Proactively identify and implement improvements to processes of Business Economics;
-Manage Special Projects for Finance & Business Economics or the Group with respect to systems, data quality, process improvements, fast close etc.;
-Develop company Risk Management (Financial, Operational, Strategic risks);
-Work in close co-operation with PMU (Project Management Unit): control financial aspects of projects (IT, business) through active contribution to project selection / project definition / project execution, determination expected project benefits, report about project benefits realized;
These responsibilities will be divided among the different team members in order to have flexibility, knowledge sharing and a balanced work package with the idea to create value for the employee, the department and the company.
You have Masters degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as Controller preferably Business Controller. Being creative and experience within consultancy is a plus. Excellent Excel / IT skills are essential.
